SERVICES – Installation

Shortly after starting the business, RMR was contacted by Sedgwick Lifts regarding the installation of a residential elevator. We agreed to try one and never looked back. When the Peelle Company decided to sell Sedgwick Lifts, the Production Manager, Robin Morse, put together several investors and formed Morse Elevator Company. RMR and Morse continued doing business together until Robin’s death which effectively closed Morse Elevator. At that time, we were without a supplier for residential elevators for several months until Bob Shipley had the opportunity to speak to Dotty Keith from Inclinator Company of America in April 2001. Since then RMR has been a dealer for Inclinator and continues to install and service their equipment.

For commercial elevators, we have been a dealer for Canton Elevator for more than ten years. We started using Canton for much more direct reasons. We wanted to purchase a complete, pre-engineered hydraulic elevator package and our experience in servicing their elevators and our research showed that Canton made the best. For traction elevators, the non-OEM (original equipment manufacturer) defacto standard has been and is Hollister Whitney. We have used Hollister Whitney for new installations and modernizations and found their equipment to be the best in their field.

Where an elevator is not the best choice, we install dumbwaiters or Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors. For electric dumbwaiters, we have used Inclinator, Matot, and Summit Lifts (now part of Harmar). For Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors, we have used Pflow Industries. We have also installed manual dumbwaiters from Whitco and Silent Servant.

Today, we install:
